"We make a living by what we get,
but we make a life by what we give."
~ Winston Churchill
Dr. Dana Hogg graduated in 2015 from North Carolina State University. She grew up in Wilson, North Carolina. Growing up with several animals, Dr. Hogg was drawn to the field of veterinary medicine at a young age. She completed her undergraduate degree at NCSU in 2009 and her master's degree in 2011.
Following graduation, Dr. Hogg worked in rural North Carolina for one year and then moved to northern Virginia to pursue opportunities to work with both small animal and exotic species. While she loved her time in Virginia, she is happy to be back in her home state and closer to family.
Dr. Hogg is interested in general medicine, behavior, nutrition, and exotic/wildlife animal medicine. She attends behavior workshops when she is able and has recently completed her Fear Free certification. Dr. Hogg shares her home with her fiancé, Tyler, their beagle, Murphy, and a few rescue parrots who always add excitement to each and every day! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking, photography, and being outdoors.
